The Elusive Starting Point

Anyone who has thought about taking guitar lessons has probably imagined the first lesson long before it actually happens.

The intention is genuine.

Some have never played before. Others have spent years playing on their own and want to improve. There is a desire to learn, and a strong intention to start soon.

Yet the first lesson does not always happen.

For some, there is a feeling that they should know a little more before beginning.

"Maybe I should learn a few chords first."

"I should know something before taking lessons."

"Let me spend a little more time with the guitar and then I'll start."

Others are not sure about the learning process.

"I'm not sure online lessons will work for me."

"Am I too old to start?"

"What if I don't understand anything?"

The reasons are different but the result is always the same.

The intention to start remains.

The starting point remains elusive.
