Learning guitar happens smoothly when the intent behind the effort is clear.
In my years of teaching, I have observed that we often approach the instrument seeking different things:
- Identity: A desire to be seen or recognized.
- Validation: A need to prove something to ourselves or to others.
- Security: An attempt to turn music into a means of survival.
- Expression: A desire to find your own voice and express it through the guitar.
When these underlying needs are not recognized, learning feels unstable. When your intent is clear and personal, your progress finds a natural direction to grow.
My Approach To Learning
Learning is about how you process new information and the space you give yourself to grow. The feeling of uncertainty or frustration doesn't come from a lack of ability. It comes from an approach that doesn't account for your specific way of learning.
In our sessions, the focus is on finding a pace that feels honest and manageable. I look at where you are and what you want to achieve, which ensures that your learning remains free of unnecessary pressure.
