Dominant Substitution Arpeggios

Develop richer dominant sounds using substitution arpeggios.

Using a simple G7–C progression, you'll explore seven substitution arpeggios and hear how each one changes the colour and tension of the dominant chord before it resolves.

Each substitution includes a short explanation, a playable tablature example and a corresponding audio example. The audio examples let you hear each substitution in context before exploring the idea on the guitar.
